Last week, Aspire Academy was buzzing with energy and excitement as students took part in the highly anticipated Drive for 5 initiative - and what a success it proved to be!

All year groups threw themselves into the competition, working collaboratively to climb the league table and secure the top spot. Throughout the week, students earned points for positive behaviours such as strong attendance, excellent conduct in lessons, completing their prep, and achieving coveted golden tickets. At the same time, the competitive edge was sharpened by the possibility of losing points for poor attendance, lateness, incomplete prep, or behaviour that did not meet our high expectations.

The sense of teamwork and determination across the school was fantastic to see. Students supported one another, motivated their peers, and showed real pride in representing their year groups. This collective effort paid off, with every year group successfully achieving the attendance target needed to earn a non-uniform day - a brilliant whole-school achievement.

A special congratulations goes to Year 9, who claimed the top spot in the league. Their hard work and consistency throughout the week earned them a well-deserved treat of ice cream at lunchtime. In addition, the top two forms for attendance in each year group were rewarded with a celebratory Domino’s pizza lunch.

Overall, Drive for 5 showcased the very best of our school community: teamwork, commitment, and a shared drive to succeed. The rewards were thoroughly deserved, and we look forward to building on this success in future initiatives.
