PSHE education acknowledges and addresses the changes that students are experiencing and the challenges of adolescence and their increasing independence. It teaches the skills which will equip them for the opportunities and challenges of life. Students are encouraged to manage diverse relationships and the increasing influence of peers and the media. PSHE education allows them to be more confident in addressing the challenges of effective learning and making a full and active contribution to society.
Aspire Academy is also taking an active role in persuading everybody to live better by encouraging our staff, students and the local community to take part in the Healthier Blackpool initiative from Blackpool Council, designed to help everyone make healthier lifestyle choices by giving access to help and support; part of that support is inline with the national curriculum - personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE).
Mrs Gregory has been instrumental in delivering PSHE at Aspire and has helped the school to achieve both the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards for Rail Safety recently, educating our students on the importance of staying safe around Britain's rail network.
