Students and staff at Blackpool Aspire Academy came together this morning on Remembrance Day to honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country, reminding everyone of the importance of this memorial day in our community.

Aspire students who are members of local cadet forces represented the Army cadets, Air Training Corps, Sea cadets, Marine cadets and Police cadets, stood smartly in their uniforms, demonstrating discipline, pride, and commitment. Their presence symbolised the link between past and present generations, showing how today’s young people continue to uphold the values of service and respect.

Aspire traditionally held a two minute silence before lessons and also at 11am before the wreath laying in our memorial garden by the cadets, Mr Woods, Mr Morley and Mrs Hill.
