Aspire's Elmer, called ARThur, has returned to Aspire!
A total of 10,550 people have taken part in the Blackpool art trail over the past few months, our ARThur being seen by over 4,430 people. The live auction for the selling of all Elmers decorated by professional artists raised a total of £142,550 for the charity yesterday evening.
As far as the public vote was concerned, our students' design finished 15th place out of 71 Elmers scattered across town, and pleasingly the first 14 places were taken by the professional artists selected nationwide to raise funds for Brian House.
Blackpool Aspire Academy took joint first place in the public vote, amongst the designs of the Fylde Coast schools, sharing the top position with Stanley primary school (31 schools overall). Mrs Riley and the Art students are rightly proud of ARThur and being a part of the town-wide project raising money for Brian House.
You can find ARThur in our Reception area.
